Our goal at National Band is to contribute to artistic
development and promote value for live art. We work
towards that goal by diligently practicing our handcrafted art
and by offering continuous education of others on what are
the aesthetics of sound. We have committed ourselves to a
lifelong process of learning all that we can to be applied to
our craft. For this reason we continually attend seminars and
conventions dealing with the repair and restoration of band
instruments.
About the Owner:
Since completing my basic education in repair at the Allied
School of Band Instrument Repair in Elkhorn, WI. in 1978, I
have attended almost all annual conventions of the National
Association of Band Instrument Repair Technicians
(NAPBIRT) since its beginning in 1977. I attend between 1
and 3 regional clinics each year to further learn from other
experts in my field. I have been recognized as a master
clinician on several occasions when presenting clinics at many
of these same functions. In 1982 - 1983 in addition to my
own business, I worked for Allied Music in the capacity of
service manager for all brass and woodwind production.
In the last 30 years I have run successful ventures in both
the retail musical instrument sales arena and later venturing
into wholesale band instrument overhaul and repair. When
time permits me, I enjoy playing both the trumpet and
baritone horn for church productions, and the local community
band.
